Tasbihat · Voice Dhikr Counter

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 1 July 2026

In short

Tasbihat is a free tool to help you count your dhikr by voice and stay consistent. It is an aid, not a religious authority — voice counting can make mistakes, so verify counts that matter to you. Use the app lawfully, and understand it’s provided “as is” without warranties.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Tasbihat — Voice Dhikr Counter app (“Tasbihat”, “the app”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the app. These Terms work alongside our Privacy Policy.

2. What the app does

Tasbihat listens through your microphone to count adhkar (Islamic remembrances) you recite, tracks your counts, goals, streaks and statistics, and can remind you to perform your adhkar — optionally around prayer times calculated from your location. Everything is designed to run on your device.

3. Licence to use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own personal, non-commercial worship and productivity. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except as permitted by applicable law or the app-store terms under which you obtained it.

4. Religious content disclaimer

Please read: The adhkar, their Arabic text, translations, transliterations, counts, and any references to the Qur’an or Hadith included in the app are provided for convenience and general benefit. We strive for accuracy but the app is not a substitute for scholarly guidance. For religious rulings and the correct manner and count of any dhikr, please consult qualified scholars and authenticated sources. We are not responsible for religious decisions made in reliance on the app.

5. Accuracy of voice counting

Voice recognition is imperfect. Background noise, pronunciation, microphone quality, language models, and device performance can cause the app to miss a recitation or count one in error. Tasbihat is an aid to help you, not a guaranteed or exact record. Where an exact count matters to you, please verify it yourself. You are responsible for the correctness of your own worship.

6. Acceptable use

7. Permissions and your device

The app requests permissions (microphone, notifications, optional location, and background operation) to function. You may grant or deny these in your device settings; denying certain permissions will limit related features. You are responsible for your device settings, battery-optimisation choices, and any mobile-network or storage costs.

8. Third-party services

The app relies on certain third-party services described in our Privacy Policy, including your device platform’s speech recognition (Google or Apple) and Google Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting. Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

9. Intellectual property

The app, its name, logo, design, and original content are owned by the app developer and protected by applicable laws. Sacred texts themselves are not claimed as our property; our rights extend to the app’s software, design, and original compilations.

10. No warranty

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that counts will be accurate.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the app. To the extent the app is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app; for any optional paid feature, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for that feature in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Payments, subscriptions and advertising

The app is currently free and shows no advertisements. We reserve the right to change this in the future, including by introducing:

If we introduce paid features or ads, we will update these Terms and the Privacy Policy beforehand. Existing free functionality that you already rely on will not retroactively be placed behind a paywall without notice.

13. Changes to the app and these terms

We may update, change, or discontinue the app or any feature at any time. We may also revise these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your country or place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, to the extent permitted by those laws. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
